CTE Conducts LET Ops for March 2023 Examinees

UC-CTE Faculty with College Student Council Officers serve as volunteers for LET Ops

The College of Teacher Education led by its Academic Dean, Dr. Ramir S. Austria, and Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) Coordinator Ms. Sheryl M. Atompag  conducted the Operation: Licensure Examination for Teachers, also known as LET Ops, to prepare its graduates for the March 2023 BLEPT. This operation involves a mix of academic review sessions, intensive mentoring, focused final coaching, and significant moral and in-kind support to boost student readiness. These efforts aim to equip students with the skills and confidence to succeed on the board exam.

Review sessions are the core of the BLEPT preparation. The college organizes scheduled sessions covering all major topics, including general education, professional education, and specialization areas. Graduates attend these sessions in groups, allowing them to learn collectively while also benefiting from instructor-led guidance. The review process is structured, with each session focusing on key competencies that graduates will encounter on the BLEPT.

The BLEPT review sessions are led by highly qualified reviewers with extensive expertise in their respective fields. These reviewers include licensed professional teachers, some of whom are topnotchers or hold advanced degrees in education. They bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to the review sessions, ensuring graduates receive insights grounded in real-world teaching. Reviewers are well-versed in BLEPT standards and trends, enabling them to focus on high-impact topics and common exam pitfalls. Their qualifications and experience allow them to provide accurate and targeted instruction that aligns with BLEPT requirements, enhancing the effectiveness of the review program.

Final coaching serves as an intensive preparation phase before the exam. In these sessions, instructors simulate the BLEPT environment, giving students a clear sense of what to expect. Faculty focus on critical topics and high-frequency questions, ensuring that students are prepared for likely scenarios on the test. This final stage is designed to sharpen focus, boost memory retention, and solidify student readiness.

The LET Operations reflect the college’s commitment to lifelong learning, supporting its students and its alumni in their quest for quality education through the BLEPT. By addressing both academic and personal needs, the College of Teacher Education provides a well-rounded support system that fosters competence, teamwork, and excellence. The college’s comprehensive approach positions graduates to face the BLEPT with both knowledge and resilience to prepare them for success in their teaching careers.
