CTE Students Showcased Two Theatrical Plays

The first year English major students showcased two theatrical plays on August 2, 2024 at the UC theater.

The event was organized by the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) 1A students in coordination with the English Language and Literature Literates Organization (ELLITES). They prepared two theatrical plays entitled “El Bimbo: The Last of Our Youth” and “Miss Granny”. The former centered on the issue of mental health and its characteristic as a silent killer of many teens. On the other hand, the latter centered on unfulfilled goals and dreams of elders.

The said event was attended by various colleges such as teacher education and criminology. Ma’am Janice Calugan, the adviser of BSED 1A class, mentioned that the event was meant to unleash the potentials and talents of the participants as well as the students. Furthermore, Dr. Ramir S. Austria, the Dean of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), commended the effort of the adviser and participants to make the event successful.
