Advancing Together: CTE Graduate Assembly Fosters Collaboration and Growth

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) hosted its annual Graduate School General Assembly for A.Y. 2023 – 2024 last September 17, 2023 at G311 – G312. This assembly brings together graduate students and faculty in an open forum designed to inform, connect, and support the College’s commitment to produce experts in various fields of study. This gathering served as an opportunity for students to receive important updates, ask questions, and engage directly with CTE leadership under the Dean Dr. Ramir S. Austria on matters central to their academic journey and career goals.

The assembly began with a series of updates addressing the different academic programs, research publications, and student resources available such as the Canvas LMS to support success in graduate studies. Faculty members also presented the curriculum advancements, emphasizing the College’s commitment to aligning courses with the latest trends and demands in education. Information on new development seminars was also shared, empowering students to expand their expertise and practical skills throughout their studies.

Following the updates, the floor was opened to students to voice their questions, concerns, and suggestions. Students inquired about thesis or dissertations requirements, comprehensive exam schedules, and research publications. The faculty provided clear answers and guidance that underscores their dedication to addressing student needs and ensuring a smooth academic journey.

The assembly concluded with a renewed sense of unity and purpose among CTE’s graduate students and faculty. By providing essential updates and fostering open communication, CTE reaffirms its commitment to supporting the academic and professional growth of its students. This annual gathering continues to serve as a cornerstone of the CTE graduate experience, bringing together educators and scholars dedicated to advancing the field of education and making a difference in communities.
